RIP George Carlin
"Religion has convinced people that there’s an invisible man…living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn’t want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer and burn and scream until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money." -- George Carlin

What I'm feeling today is summed up soooo well in this...
"It seems you're having some trouble
In dealing with these changes
Living with these changes (oh no)
The world is a scary place
Now that you've woken up the demon in me" ~ Disturbed

That's Happy Father's Day in Chinese :)
Just something a little different to recognize my wonderful husband for all he has done and shared with my children since our relationship began. He has given so much as their step-dad and has helped me so much with the HARD job of parenting since we've been together. His voice of reason, his hand holding mine when going through scary stuff. He's been there through all of it. He is what a step parent should be and I like to thank him for all of that on this day. I love you :)

Fight the Smears
Barack is taking things head on like John Kerry should have in 2004 and put up a website to show the truth behind the smears that the right wingers are trying to bog down his campaign with. This website is great and I highly recommend it to anyone who hears something that doesn't sound quite right.

"...Furthermore, during a Senate vote Wednesday,Obama dragged Lieberman by the hand to a far corner of the Senate chamber and engaged in what appeared to reporters in the gallery as an intense, three-minute conversation." (click picture to go to story)

Waiting on the edge of my seat...

For Barack Obama's speech tonight! Finally he will have all the delegates he needs to declare victory and wow has it been one hell of a race! It's been fun all day watching them keep rolling in the delegates. I think right now he's down to 12 and they're predicting he'll get at least 15 at the primaries tonight. So exciting!
ETA:
Oh wait, it's 10 now!!! *bounce*

Yeah, I know...

The name is kind of goofy. So, I guess I will post here "Why did I choose the name "wrapt up"? Well, as silly as it may sound I brain-stormed for awhile and had lots of ideas for what I wanted to call it. Lots of ideas for what I want it to be. I'm going through some big changes lately and really need some kind of outlet for it all.
I'm rediscovering I'm a creative person and experimenting with that too. So...
The Definition (past tense of course but I'm being all loose here):
1. to surround, envelop (one of my favorite words), shroud, or hide.
2. informal,secret.
3. intensely absorbed in.
4. to summarize; recapitulate.
5. completely immersed or absorbed in.
Which all seem to be pretty much what I'm going for here. The name also makes me think of where my mind is at times. Totally "Wrapped(t) up" in my various phobias and obsessions. And along with the image...where I think I might end up...
Plus, screw you, all the good names were taken.
Ewwww!
When Bodybuilding and Steroids Go Too Far
This is nuts. Muscles can look ok although I like smaller men as a rule. This is taking it way too far though. They look frightening. Yick.
